Duramen Prize Tourney For April 26, 2006 Winner: Sir Walter of Minstead Comments: We started the evening off with the backdrop of the water on the grassy fields in the Barony of Dragonslaire. This evening we would see 9 fighters competing for the tournaments honor of being declared the winner. As with winning the tournament, there is also a prize. The fighters this evening were Richard Dragun (Squire to Sir Walter of Minstead), Marcus Tullius, Conchobhor MacEoin, HE Cedric Wlfraven (Squire to Viscount Sir Donnan), Sorgin, Oliver Tarney, Eadric de Lonestone (Squire to Sir John Wolfstan), Sir Walter of Minstead, and Alaricus Simmonds (Sergeant to HE Brighid Ross of Dragonslaire). The tournament was fought in the traditional double elim style with a best 2 of 3 finals. This evening the two that received this honor of meeting in the finals would be Marcus Tullius and Sir Walter. The first round would find Sir Walter emerging as the victor. After setting the second round, once again Sir Walter bested Marcus and emerged as the victor for the evening. The prize for this evenings tourney was a photo album to capture this seasons events with two conjoined hearts on the cover and a candle with holder for their castle. Once again, and as always, I really appreciate everyones effort and assistance in helping from setting up the erics, to aiding in the tournament, the spectators were great, and lastly those that enter into the lists for the competition.
