Duramen Prize Tourney For October 19, 2005 Winner: Aleksii Konstantinovich Comments: The final Duramen Prize Tourney for this year was held and it found many spectators coming to watch 8 fighters compete. The fighters this evening were Brice de Bec, Eadric de Lonestone, Cedric Wlfraven, Marcus Tullius, Conchobar MacEein, Gernon Valletort de Harfleur, Aleksii Konstantinovich, and Sir John Wolfstan. Through the fierce battles of the evening two emerged to compete in the finals, Gernon and Aleksii. It was a best 2 of 3 in which Aleksii met Gernon's blade in the first. Aleksii would not allow this to stand and came back to allow Gernon to see his blade in the second. The final bout was very well fought and eventually found Aleksii defeating Gernon this evening. The prize was a calligraphy set with information on learning an individuals hand in calligraphy based on their personna. Thanks to everyone that came out either to help or to support the fighters. We will be taking a break for a few months and start back up in January the week just prior to Ursulmas. Duramen will continue to hold practices in Silverdale through the winter months on Monday evenings at the Waterfront Park.
