Duramen Prize Tourney For August 31, 2005 Winner: Frederick the Fink Comments: This month's prize tourney would find 6 fighters competing to fight in the finals for their inspirations honor. I would like to thank all those that helped with the tournament, because without the help we wouldn't be able to have the tournament. Tonight, Eadric de Lonestone (Man at Arms to HE Sir Strider), HE Sir Strider, Rayner (Man at Arms to HE Sir Strider), Frederick the Fink, Marcus Tullius, and Aleksii Konstantanovich (Squire to Sir Loethgar). We decided to run this evening's tournament in a round robin format. Through the fierce battles and slain heroes would emerge three fighters in a dilemna. The dilemna was that Marcus and Aleksii would fight each other to see who would meet Frederick the Fink in the final round. Through the slashing of swords and multiple blocks, Marcus emerged victorious to face Frederick. In the final round, it would be fought in a best 2 of 3 format. The first bout Marcus would find his blade land true to win the first. Frederick would let Marcus know his blade can also land true to win in the second. In the final bout, of the finals, Marcus would fight bravely,but Frederick's blade would find Marcus' body first to win the tournament this evening. Frederick the Fink's inspiration was HL Caroline de Poliana. The prize this evening was a glass vase with flowers. |
