Duramen Prize Tourney For July 27, 2005
Winner:
Jazod Felygo (squire to Sir Loethgar)
Comments: July’s Prize tourney was to be a tourney where there were three prizes to be awarded, most chivalric, best death, and the overall winner of the tournament. 10 fighters would find themselves facing one another on the field this evening. The following is a listing of the fighter and their inspiration: Aslak von Pfeffers inspired by Christine Wolfstan, Sir John Wolfstan inspired by THL Alyna Wolfstan, Marcus Tullius inspired by THL Angharad Albanes, Frederick the Fink inspired by THL Caroline de Poliana, Aleksi Konstantinovich Chernoi (Squire to Sir Loethgar) inspired by Lady Alexis, Rayner inspired by Sophia, Richard Dragun (man-at-arms to Sir Walter) inspired by Mistress Gwen the Potter, Jazod Felygo (squire to Sir Loethgar) inspired by THL Elespeth, Eadric de Lonestone (man-at-arms to HE Sir Strider) inspired by Lady Katerina, and Loegaire (man-at-arms to Sir Walter) inspired by THL Eileen. The first round was heralded with the fighter and their inspiration for all to know. The final bout would find Squire Jazod facing Sir John in a best 2 of 3. Jazod would take the first bout while Sir John won the second. The final bout of the finals would find Jazod emerging victorious. Squire Aleksi won the chivalry prize by attempting to revive his opponent after slaying him, and Richard would win the best death prize for the evening. Thank you to all the came out to watch and a special thank you to all that helped allow the tourney to run so smooth. I would like to point out that this was Christine Wolfstan’s first try at doing a double elimination tournament with the lists by herself. The next Prize Tourney will be held the last Wednesday of August just prior to September Crown. --John Wolfstan
