Duramen Prize Tourney For July 28, 2004 Winner: Squire John Wolfstan Comments: The evening was warm (for some of us that means hot) and we started our tournament with 14 fighters entering the lists. We wouldn't have been able to continue if it wasn't for our lists mistresses, Aelienora and a lady of whom I do not know her name to give her credit. We also had Christine Wolfstan stand in as herald (her first time), Alaricus marshalling, and Cedric (marshalled and heralded). Now we could hold a tourney. The entrants into the tournament were Magnus Ravenspawn, Joseph McGregor, Marcus Tullius, Renart the Fox, Ahemed Ah Teen Al Saif, Roland Ducat, Squire Frederick the Red, Sean O the Shire, Angus Macfarlane, Rob Ross, Eadric de Lonestone, Althon Le-S, Eoghan O Caireallainn, and Squire John Wolfstan. The semifinals would find Magnus Ravenspawn meeting Joseph McGregor in which Magnus emerged victorious and Marcus Tullius meeting John Wolfstan in which John emerged victorious. I also must mention that Marcus fights with a two handed weapon in these tournies against almost all that are sword and shield. In the finals, John was greatly inspired by Lady Alyna to best Magnus in a 2 of 3 finals. The prize was a glass bottle filled with candy that was shared by all that needed their late evening sugar fix. The next prize tourney will be held the last Wednesday of August just before September Crown. Thanks, John Wolfstan |
