Duramen Prize Tourney For April 28, 2004
Winner:
Marcus Tullius
Comments: It was a nice evening in Dragonslaire along the water to hold a tournament in which one would emerge victorious. Thanks to those that stepped in to marshal, herald, and run the lists for the evening. The fighters were fighting for the prize of the evening which was a small etched wooden chest. There was also a prize for the "best death". The tournament started as a round robin and found Marcus Tullius and Eadric de Lonestone to be the fighters to compete in a 2 out of 3 final. Not a normal 2 out of 3, but each round was to be fought with a different weapon style. The first bout was fought flourentine. Eadric emerged as the victor of this bout and style. Next was sword and shield. Marcus then bested Eadric in this bout. Now they were one and one. The final bout was to be fought with great weapons. After a fierce and well fought bout, Marcus Tullius would be the victor of the tournament. Prior to the tournament, one of the populace was chosen to decide who had the best death in the tournament. Eadric de Lonestone had the best death of the evening and he won a two part prize. The first was a roll of gummy lifesavers to bring him back from his death in order to play his other prize which was a nine man morris game.
The next tournament will be held on May the 26th in Silverdale. Thanks--John Wolfstan
