Duramen Prize Tourney For February 25, 2004

Winner: Squire Kristopher of Duramen

Comments:
We started the evening off with a huge turnout of fighters for the tourney on a cold-windy evening. 15 fighters in all. The fighters competing for the coveted prize of a jeweled dragon candle were as follows: Squire Kristopher of Duramen, David Oxenfjord, Sgt. Matthias Vanderheyck, Eadric de Lonestone, Fergus Fletcher, Marcus Tullius Calvos, Nicholas Twoblade, Earl Sir Strider, Double-squire Mayorca, Frederick the Fink, Magnus Ravenspawn, Jahnkin de Leeuw, Richard Dragun, Cedric Wlfraven, and Squire John Wolfstan. We started the tournament in a double elimination style until the top 3 fighters were determined. The three fighters that fought their way to the final 3 of the 15 were Sgt. Matthias Vanderheyck, David Oxenfjord, and Squire Kristopher of Duramen. These three then fought in a round robin format to determine the two fighters to advance to a final round in which the winner would be determined by a best 2 of 3. Squire Kristopher met David in the final round. In this final round, Squire Kristopher emerged victorious and won the tournament. None of this would have been possible without the help of Liu Xian (mistress of the list), her assistant Katerina of Dragonslaire, our herald Bethel Allen, the list runner Amanda, and our numerous fill in marshalls throughout the evening. Our next monthly prize tourney will be held on March 31st. Hope to see everyone there. --John Wolfstan
