Duramen Prize Tourney For January 21, 2004 Winner: John Wolfstan Comments: We are back at it again, having tournaments in the cold of winter for the spectators and cool refreshing air for the fighters. We held the tournament this month just before the Ursulmas tournament. As I always will, I wish to thank all the spectators as well as marshalls, list mistress, and herald. Without them, it would be difficult to hold a tournament. We had five fighters come out for the first tourney of the year and forgive me if I spell the names wrong. We had Eadril DeLonestone, Magnus Ravenspawn, Publius Varus Scapula, Kristopher of Duramen, and John Wolfstan. The tournament was held in a round robin format due to only having five fighters and this would be the format of Ursulmas to begin with. Through the fighting, Alyna Wolfstan managed to inspire John on to victory in the tournament. The prize was a small basket painted in valentine heraldry filled full of chocolate candy. John awarded the prize to a last minute stand in herald down from Druim Doineann for the evening (again I apologize for not getting her name written down). We will be having another Duramen Prize Tourney sponsored by Duramen on 25 February. Thank you, John Wolfstan. |
