Duramen Prize Tourney For July 30, 2003 Winner: Squire Osrik Wolfsbater Comments: Thanks again to all the help we had hosting the prize tourney. Alyna and I graciously appreciate any and all help. This month, we had two tourneys. The first was a single elimination tourney for a "fighter-ready" sword. This single elim tourney was held first to try to get the "tourney mind set" in place, then turn around and have the standard double elim tourney to see how well people did. We had 9 fighters participating in both tourneys and they were as follows: HE Baron Ralg, Squire Osrik Wolfsbater, Joseph McGregor, Mayorca, Markward von Trainel, Titus Claudius, Marcus Tullius, Frederick the Fink, and Roland Ducat. The single elim tourney was cut down two a best two of three bout between Squire Osrik and Joseph McGregor in which Squire Osrik emerged victorious. The double elim tourney was held immediately following and in the finals we once again say Squire Osrik meeting Joseph McGregor in a best two of three. Squire Osrik emerged victorious once again and received a jeweled wind chime as well as a purple jeweled pen/notebook set. Squire Osrik, being as chivalric as he is, bestowed the jeweled pen/notebook upon Christine Wolfstan for inspiring Joseph McGregor to fight so well in the tournaments. The next tournament will be held on the 27th of August at Dragon's Laire's fight practice. See you there. --John Wolfstan |
