Daigo no Kitsume

I am Daigo no Kitsume. I am the youngest daughter of a sixth rank noble in Heian Japan. My family lived in the Japanese capital, Heian-kyo (present day Kyoto) in 1195 during the reign of Emperor Gotoba. My family owned land on the island Shikoku where we farmed rice and Japanese mink for the imperial courtesans.
I was married to the strange pale son of a fifth rank noble house from the mainland of Honshu. At first I found him strange but after a time I grew very fond of him. When he decided to leave the empire of Japan I did not ask why but followed him willingly. We used my dowry to procure a ship in secret and had to escape the eyes of the emperor lest we risk bringing dishonor to our families. To do this we faked our deaths by sinking our burning ship and fleeing to the China coast.
We had wandered China and the Mediterranean when we chanced to meet members from House Persistent. Having been without our families for so long we received their welcome readily and chose to serve Earl Sir Strider as our own father.
The end... or is it?
I still haven't made up my mind for my mon (Japanese heraldry) or my device.
I enjoy researching aspects of the SCA, from person development to foods, and clothing in period. I am currently working a over-lange project called the Grete Boke, a compilation of profiles, stories, art and more from House Persistent.
Jun 1999 or 2000 I don't remember- went to my first event, June faire. Camped with house persistent.
June 2001- brought into the house persistent fold "officially"
Some summer event 2001 or 2001- charged by CAROLINE?! With chronicling the misadventures of House Persistent.
Today- writing my persona write up.
Ongoing......
