E-mail Options for you from Duramen.net

Duramen Mailing List Info  -  Duramen.net E-mail Info  -  E-mail Request Form  -  E-mail message board

First thing I would like to point out is that if you have any questions about anything we have a message board setup for the purpose of answering email questions here: E-mail message board. We have several options when it comes to e-mail with Duramen.net. The first is a duramen mailing list. I would like everyone to sign up for the Duramen mailing list. Which is list@duramen.net......if you absolutely hate the name then give me some suggestions and I might change it.

Mailing Lists

The mailing list lets anyone who wants to recieve e-mails or notices from a single address. When you subscribe you will be added to a list of e-mail addresses that belong to this list. Whenever someone sends an e-mail to that list everyone who subscribes will be able to see it, I can control who has the ability to send to the list if need be. There are two types of mailing lists, the regular and te digest. The only differece is that with the digest you will not recieve the notice or e-mail right away, instead you will recieve an e-mail once a week or month(not sure which it is at the moment) which contains all the e-mails sent to the list in that time. Below are the instructions for using the mailing list.

Mailing list instructions(the links here won't work if you're using a web based email address, like hotmail, to subscribe.)

To subscribe to the mailinglist, simply send a message with the word
"subscribe" in the Subject: field to the -request address of that list.

To: list-request@duramen.net
Subject: subscribe

To subscribe the digest, simply send a message with the word "subscribe" in the Subject: field to the following address.

To: list-d-request@duramen.net
Subject: subscribe

To send email to the mailinglist, write to the following address:

To: list@duramen.net

To unsubscribe from the mailinglist, simply send a message with the word "unsubscribe" in the Subject: field to the -request address of that list.

To: list-request@duramen.net
Subject: unsubscribe

To unsubscribe from the digest, write a email like this.

To: list-d-request@duramen.net
Subject: unsubscribe

Duramen.net E-mail Accounts

The next option for you is an e-mail account for your own use, essentially yourname@duramen.net we can set this up for you a couple of different ways. We can have mail that is sent to your Duramen account be forwarded to one or more another accounts. For example if you send an e-mail to support@duramen.net it forwards that message on to my duramen@duramen.net mailbox and my jkelsch@hotmail.com mailbox. We can also set it up as a mailbox on our system if you don't have an e-mail address already or if you want this one not to forward on to another account, for this option you will need a mail client and internet access to send and recieve mail.

To request your duramen.net e-mail address please fill out the form which can be found here: E-mail Account Request Form You should get confirmation of the account creation withing a day, possibly two either by e-mail, phone, or on the E-mail message board.
Note: When sending e-mail from a stand alone account on our system, sometimes you have to hit the send button 2 or 3 times before the message goes through.....I'm not sure why, I don't have control of that part of the system.

Once you have recieved confirmation you need to setup your e-mail client to be able to use your duramen.net account. You can use programs such as: Eudora, Claris Emailer, Microsoft Internet Mail, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Outlook Express 5.0, Netscape Communicator for Mail, Netscape Navigator for Mail. If you have any problems e-mail me: support@duramen.net or post on the E-mail message board
